The Calling

In my time offering readings to the public i have worked with all sorts of people. From different races, religions and cultures i have learnt that the language of Spirit is universal. Although we interpret or depict our Gods in different ways there is so much similarity in practices and rituals that it makes sense for us all to also share similar problems and challenges.

Part of my gift is about helping/ teaching others to embrace and awaken their gifts. Something i have noticed is that many people, irrespective of their type of gift, is a hesitance to open it further for fear of the unknown and in many cases reject their gift altogether. As an energetically sensitive person myself i fully understand and empathise with this outlook. It can be a scary and difficult journey to venture out into the unknown, especially if you are feeling emotionally, mentally and physically unequipped.

An important first step is acknowledgement and acceptance. The fact that you are aware of your gift means that you have already been in communication with the Spirit world to gain that knowledge. Which means that a transaction or exchange of energy has already occurred. Herein lies the issue with people wanting to reject or bind their gift. In most cases you would have already accessed or taken advantage of your gift in your day-to-day life while not being aware of it. There are however some gifts or callings, especially ancestral-related that can be over-bearing and heavy on the shoulders. In this instance i would recommended finding a different channel of energy to work with instead of shutting off altogether. For example you may have been raised with a certain religious background but have always been drawn to ancient Egyptian mythology, this might be past lifetime influences coming through encouraging you to stay open and explorative with your energy exchanges.

Psychic gifts do not have to be exclusively utilised to do healing and offering public services. They are actually a tool that can be used in your own personal advancement and just like our other strengths. When embraced they can be beneficial for enhancing our day-to-day experiences like being able to communicate with our spirit guides more clearly about things in our life that we desire, would like to change or upgrade.

We can strengthen our gifts and put them to better use once we understand how they work and in which chakra they are based. The Root chakra hosts gifts of instinct and survival; the Solarplexus is where our Chi or Life force energy is stored; the Heart chakra is where we experience empathic psychic abilities; the Throat is for channeling and experiences senses through the ears, nose and mouth; the Third-eye is for psychic vision and the Crown chakra is for mediumship.
