Why Me?

The ultimate question. Why me God, the question that plagues every conscious being at least once in their lifetime. When bad things happen we tend to contemplate deeply about life and what we deserve. Some spiritualist refer to this period as a Dark Night of the Soul. The Dark Night refers to a time of great pain, turmoil, doubt and despair. This period is not defined by the specific event that occurs like death or divorce but rather about the emotions that you are coursing through at the time. Understanding that, empowers us to realise that these dark and heavy emotions are tied to the karmic lessons we intended to learn in this re-incarnation.

The answer to Why Me is not something, in my opinion, that your God can answer. Our freewill gives us the opportunity to make choices that place us on different timelines. I believe the suffering we endure is handcrafted by ourselves before our reincarnation. Those who struggle to feel will curate more intense situations, timelines, heartbreaks and disappointments to elicit those dark emotions.

Next time you find yourself asking Why Me try to flip the narrative to ask what am i to learn from this situation about myself. It is only in the darkness that we can discover the light within. It takes the intense contrast of pain to lust for light and warmth. It is that fire within which drives our life force that can be ignited when we fall to our knees, if that is the path we chose.
