I am sure you have heard this expression before, since dealing with the opposite can be challenging. At times it really does feel like we could be born and made from totally different matter, the only reasonable explanation for the extreme differences between the genders. I think it is valuable in our consideration of how we engage with each other to better inform ourselves on how we could make relating and communicating easier with better comprehension.
Each planet has it own energy or characteristics, for example Pluto is related to the underworld and death and depending on which house Pluto lands up in your chart can be very telling on how you deal or cope with shadow-related issues or challenges. Venus is the planet of love, beauty and abundance and is the ruling planet on a Friday as well as for the zodiacs Taurus and Libra. Venus can also be associated with many feminine Goddess such as Shakti and Aphrodite. Venus rules our senses like touch, taste, sound and sight and influences our creativity and ability to create. Venus also relates to how you relate to and attract others and perfectly embodies the feminine energy. In spirituality the masculine and feminine are not gendered but both men and woman are made up of both energies in duality and should find harmony between these elements.
Planet Mars rules Aries and Scorpio and has a very masculine, raw, decisive energy as oppose to the go with the flow, creative Venus energy. Masculine energy is about doing, controlling and planning and planet Mars in our planetary chart can tell us more about what drives us especially in the material world. Mars rules on a Tuesday and can be associated with many of the sun Gods like Ra and Lord Muruga, Ares and even Hercules. Mars is the planet of our deepest desires, actions, war, sex and aggression. Often times woman are described as more emotional than men while discounting the fact that anger is an emotion. I think as either Men or Woman we are naturally disposed and feel more comfortable expressing some emotions, feelings and actions oppose to others. Thus understanding the opposite sex and where they come from can also give us an opportunity to reflect on ourselves and whether there is harmony between our inner masculine and feminine.
