The Importance of Astrology in our Day-to-Day Lives:

As a human race we inhabit planet Earth which is part of a larger solar-system and then universe. Our limited human understanding can’t even begin to comprehend how small and insignificant we are in relation to the greater universe, much of which is unknown to us. Planet Earth is the third rock from the sun and blessed with its weather, atmosphere and ability to sustain life. The Earth revolves around the sun and we call these cycles years, as the moon moves around the earth we call these cycles months. It is evident and widely accept that the sun and moon have extensive affects on not just the Earth herself but us as well as human beings.

At the exact time and location that you were born if a screenshot were taken of the sky we would be able to see in which houses each of your planets fall into. For example you are probably familiar with your ‘star sign’ which is the zodiac the sun was in at the time you were born. Your moon and rising sign (planet mercury) are equally important to your sun sign and together they are called your Big 3. These are the three fastest moving elements in the sky thus very telling about a persons character, energy, goals and challenges they may face in this lifetime. It is very interesting to have a look at your planetary placements and you may find long-awaited answers with regards to the blockages you face in this lifetime.

The Sun, the Moon and all the planets are constantly whirling around us and each other. These different relations they have to one another or earth causes a specific energy that we all collectively experienced. For instance when planet mercury, the planet of communication and technology, is in retrograde many people struggle with electronics and are cautioned at this time to read contracts carefully. Each of the planets can go into retrograde but not the sun or moon.

Just like how a weather forecast can be helpful to plan your day, similarly an astrology forecast can help you navigate the emotions and challenges that day or week might bring. Start small by observing the cycles of the moon and from there I encourage you to get curious about astrology and dive into the theories of how the planets work and what that means for us here on Earth!
