How to read Tarot Cards

Tarot cards can come in different forms such as oracle cards or a classic tarot set. Oracle cards can have any theme, any messages and any number of cards in the deck. A classic tarot deck is made up of 72 cards – 22 Major Arcana and the four suits represented by the elements air, earth, water and fire. Each card has a theoretical meaning assigned to it but with different artistic takes, the Fool card in each deck can look quite different. The general essence of the Fool card is a new beginning and that basic idea can be expressed artistically in any theme, colour or style in tarot.

Tarot is a way to read energy so there are many different things, people or situations that we may be able to read. Depending on your psychic gifts will determine what you use the cards to assist you with but for the most part I would recommend that they be used for channeling. Working with cards give your Guides and the Universe the opportunity to speak to us through colours, numbers and symbolism and brushing up on studies like numerology and astrology can be a great aid in learning how to read tarot. I would recommend that you start learning from a classic tarot set since it gives a good base of understanding to work with the intuition. You do not need to be psychic to read tarot but simply tap into your intuition which lays dormant in each of our third eyes until awakened through enlightenment.

Learning the basic theory of the cards gives you the confidence to use your intuition to peace a narrative from all the visuals. Once you get comfortable working with your intuition it will allow a natural portal to flow in opening your psychic abilities. I learnt how to read tarot with a combination of practical learning (playing with cards and watching YouTube pick-card readings) and theory by reading tarot theory books. You absolutely do not need a set of tarot cards to begin learning and in fact working with some cue cards can be very helpful. This way you can replicate all the cards from the tarot deck, whilst adding information on the back of the card to speed up the learning process while you work with your cards. Learning tarot should be fun but it does require discipline, I recommend that you work with your cards each morning for 10 -15 minutes on your own energy to gain consistency and confidence with your channeling abilities.
