Dream World

Dreams and the dream world as a topic is one of the gateway drugs to spiritual enlightenment. When you start noticing patterns in your waking life which connect to your dreams or when you’re simply curious of the inner workings of your mind and energy when you’re dreaming, you lead yourself on a path of curiosity. Any path of enlightenment begins at curiosity and I encourage you to let your mind wander and flow which is how you’ll connect seamlessly with your intuition – in calm and flow. In still waters we can see any reflections clearly, when these same waters are disturbed then we won’t be able to perceive what might be there. In the same way with our intuition we sometimes perceive things or receive information/messages but don’t understand what they mean. You may be having a similar experience with your dreams – knowing you’re receiving messages but uncertain as how to interpret them. I commended you for reaching this far in making concerted attempts to expand your mind on the topics that interest you.

Dreaming can be a spiritual experience in and of itself, where you may find yourself connecting with the divine or your loved ones. It’s almost like we enter another dimension – our own personal subconscious reality reflected back to us in vivid experiences. When we step into these worlds the distinction of those who have control of their mind in a focused way and those who don’t become clear. Those who have a naturally focused mind and an open third eye will be able to remember and even manipulate their dreams because they become AWARE that they are in a dream state. When our third eye is open we are awake and aware, we have seen, felt and experienced the spiritual world and we can never un-see it. Those who are experiencing issues with their third eye may forget their dreams very soon after they wake. In that regard it is important to have some quiet time to process your thoughts in the morning before you dive into your phone or begin your routine. Dedicate 2 – 5 minutes each morning to journal about what you remember about your dreams. This can be done with a physical journal or your phone – whichever method that works for you. Even just writing key words is sufficient. The key here is consistency and the discipline to do this each morning. The aim of this dedication is to better understand messages that you’re receiving from your guides.

We are going through many energetic experiences as we dream and the veil is thinned, so keeping a pouch for crystals to put under your pillow is recommended. Make sure that you personally investigate where your chakras are at before you decide which crystals you’re using.

The veil can be thought of an invisible energetic curtain that separates us from the spirit world. Psychics and mediums are able to transcend the veil and contact or communicate with the spirit world. Since we have both a physical body and energetic body we are always interacting with spirit whether we realise it or not. The fact that you are reading about the veil means that you have either had spiritual or a spirit-related experience and you’re wondering how it all works or you are simply curious about how to start making communication. Understanding and conceptualising as much as you can about the spirit world will enable you to learn how to work within it. Each individual is surrounded by their own personal enclosed veil. The veil can be thinned in certain instances or by energetic vibrations. For instance when we consume mind- altering substances like alcohol or psychedelics we are usually able to connect with ourselves with less resistance. Sometimes these substances can further enable us to step away and be aware of our Ego. When we are aware of our Ego and we are able to perceive our world not only through our perspective, but also through an empathic lens of being aware of others. What is most important to consider in this instance is that you will not be able to understand how to step away from your Ego when you’re intoxicated.Instead if you already understand in your waking and conscious state how to step away from your Ego, when you consume mind-altering substances that awareness of Ego CAN be expanded. More often than not alcohol encourages the Ego, so this information is to be applied to those of you having an awakened spiritual experience.

The veil is always thinned when we are sleeping because when our energy is still and calmed spirit can access our attention better. They don’t only communicate when the veil is thinned but they are in constant communication with us. However when the veil is thinned it gives us an opportunity to see what’s reflecting in the still waters of our mind. Our conscious mind can be very distracted and distracting which causes ripples in the water. These same waters are stilled when our conscious mind is resting as we sleep.

It is important to remember as much detail as you can from your dreams as the messages are usually in the finer detail of the experiences that you are having whilst you dream. A good way to train your mind to remember more detail from your dreams is getting into the habit of recording your dreams in a dedicated journal. This way when you wake up each morning making an effort to engage with your thoughts, you will gradually start remembering more and more detail.

There are many different symbols that can mean many different things. Animals, the elements and symbols representing an emotion/wounding or subconscious thought can all appear in your dream space. For example dreaming of a baby might indicate a prosperous new beginning because babies symbolise birth, fertility and new opportunity. There are infinite amount of dream symbols that I could list to you but I believe the most important thing to remember when you’re trying to understand what is being symbolised is that your guides will speak to you in your language. Whatever the thing or situation symbolises to you would be your best bet in figuring out what your guides are attempting to highlight or communicate. For you personally it could be that babies symbolise anxiety, stress and a traumatic childhood. In this regard it is important to unpack your dream messages in a holistic way through considering all the different elements. The emotion that you are feeling whilst dreaming or experiencing a vivid reality speaks to how you feel about the situation. Going back to the baby example, if you feel joy and elation at the sight of the baby that may indicate that you are currently attracting that type of energy. Although if you feel fear and feelings of lack of self-confidence to take care of the baby that may be indicate deeper seeded wounding related to your childhood experiences.

Meditation and Yoga

Both spiritual practices are equally important in your journey to enlightenment. Yoga can be used to release, balance and align your chakras and thus energy. I would recommend that you start off small and challenge yourself to incorporate 1 minute of yoga stretches (one for each chakra) into your daily routine. Consider what healing tools you can add to the experience: sight, outdoor yoga, smell (incense/ essential oil), touch. Kundalini yoga is a dangerous practice but if safely conducted can lead to a kundalini enlightenment. As with anything consistency is key and these are results that you will only be able to appreciate in retrospect.

Meditation is crucial for psychic development since it most particularly stimulates the third eye, but can be used for any intention. What is important to take into consideration is what you want to gain from your meditation, the intention. Different intentions that you may have: focus, calm, answers/clarity, chakra balancing or simply connecting with spirit. When you are clear on your intention, that will inform the correct type of meditation. Since we are humans, flawed and constantly evolving, our needs similarly evolve with us and it is important to hold space for this change even in our spiritual practice.
