Chakras are a tool to initiate, heal and develop
the relationship between body, mind and spirit.
When we experience a blockage or imbalance it will
have an affect on your physical(body), mental &
emotional health (mind) and spiritual (spirit).
The Chakras are seven energy points located along
the spine. They start at the root chakra at the
base of the spine and go all the way to the top of
the head. There are over 114 different chakras
located within the body, although to start off
with, it is recommended that you focus on the
basic 7. An interesting chakra to note is the palm
chakras that we can use to be aware of energy
transfers during mediation and any other energy
work. Through them we can receive and transmit
different types of energy. Our energy systems are
complex in that there are many different ways in
which we can work with our chakras: opening and closing, charging, cleansing, releasing and balancing and aligning. In order to understand how to work with our chakras, we first need to identify the current position and any blockages we may face with that chakra. Learning about and working with the chakra system was a key ingredient in my own enlightenment and awakening of my psychic abilities. Chakras are energy systems that are not manifested in physical form. Chakras connect the concepts of mind, body and soul, and through any of them we can begin the healing. Chakras are related to the mind in that each chakra is concerned with different emotional
states and repressed memories and emotions. Working on our chakras through the aspect of mind would be unpacking our own trauma by reflecting on our emotional experiences.
Chakras are related to the body in that they each
govern and are connected to a physical aspect such
as the root chakra governing the lower body. When
we experience issues consistently and with
seemingly phantom cause in the same part of our
body, then that is a clear indication that the
chakra is blocked and unhealthy. Take for
instance, if you suffer a lot with chest related
issues, this is indicating that your heart chakra
requires some balancing.
Chakras are related to the soul in that they carry
karma through wounding and memories within them.
If you are someone in a past lifetime who was
murdered by guillotine, you will experience a lot
of throat chakra issues. Most commonly in terms of
chakra wounding, I have seen that the sacral
chakra in relation to conception of a child is
usually related to damage that may have occurred
in your past lifetimes within your relationships
or having a bad experience with child birth and
pregnancy.
Kundalini enlightenment occurs when a snake-like
energy said to be coiled at the base of the spine
within the root chakra has the opportunity to rise
up through each chakra and burst through the crown
in an experience of enlightenment. Kundalini is an
extremely sacred and intense energetic experience
and you may have witnessed others in this
enlightenment through a trance or expression of
psychic ability.
The lower chakras are related to the physical body
and sexuality and include the root and the sacral.
When these chakras are blocked, we may be
experiencing issues with our diet with not having
an appetite or having an insatiable appetite.
The middle chakras relate to emotions and concept
of self. These are the solarplexus and the heart
chakras. In order to have a good balance in these
chakra, it’s important to be emotionally open and
articulate with yourself about your needs and
boundaries. A good way to heal this chakra is by
engaging and making space for relationships and
experiences that make you feel heard and accepted.
The higher chakras govern the mind and connection
to spirit. These chakras include the throat, third
eye and crown chakras. Although in order to
psychically connect, all your chakras need to be
opened and aligned. You will need your upper
chakras to be strong and trained to make
communication with your own soul in understanding
your higher purpose and with spirit generally.
Although there are so many ways you can go about
healing or working with your chakras, I can
suggest a few tips and guidelines to go by. It is
extremely important that you recognise that this
is only a base starting point and there is much
more for you to learn about your personal chakra
system.
Chakra music: Sound vibration is an easy and
effortless way to open and heal your chakras. I
would recommend that you seek some chakra music on
Youtube to play in the background while you go
about your day or tasks.
Cleansing: When we repress emotions, experiences
or memories they can get stuck in our chakras and
cause blockages. Participating in cleansing, you
assist your energetic body in releasing and
cleansing your lower vibrational energy.
Charging and releasing: Any vibrational thing can
both take in energy and give out energy, so in
order to understand the best healing technique, we
need to understand the blockage.
